Employee Spotlight: Alexandra Paasch

Meet Alexandra Paasch! We're excited to have her on the Family Features’ Team as our new Digital Marketing Specialist. Check out our interview with Alexandra to learn about her background, interests and new role.

1. Can you tell me a little about your background and where you grew up?

I’m originally from Omaha, Nebraska where I was born and raised. I’m part of a family of 5 – my parents and 2 older brothers. Today, I have a sister-in-law, 2 nephews, and a niece! After attending college, I moved to Chicago for a couple of years to pursue my advertising career. At age 25 I decided to leave Chicago to move abroad to Warsaw, Poland. While abroad, I took a career break to teach English as a Second Language to students ranging from children to adults. 

2. Where did you attend college and what was your major?

I went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, go Huskers! I studied journalism and advertising & public relations. I graduated in 2017.

3. Where is your favorite place to travel or visit?

My favorite place I’ve traveled to is Ljubljana, Slovenia. I loved the culture in Slovenia, everyone was warm and welcoming and there was a slow pace of life. I enjoyed visiting Lake Bled in Slovenia, it was the bluest water I’ve ever seen!

4. Do you have any previous experience in your current role at Family Features or in this industry? (If so, what?)

My last title was Social Media Manager and I've worked in marketing for over 5 years.

5. What parts about your job excites you and what do you think will be challenging?

I'm excited to work with many different clients!

6. When you're not working, what do you enjoy doing in your free time? Any hobbies?

I enjoy horseback riding, swimming, reading fiction books, concerts, and traveling to new places. The show I'm currently watching is Tell Me Lies. The book I'm currently reading is One Greek Summer.

7. Do you have any pets?

I have one black cat named Finn.

8. Do you have any big plans or personal goals for this year?

My goal this year is to find a riding stable in my new home state and start horseback riding again!
